A Converter of Flexible Films

 

To introduce the company, first of all it is important to make it clear which is our business.

 

The company is a converter of flexible films. Mother reels in industrial sizes are bought around the world from many different film producers and they are transformed into products suitable to the customers, which are mainly professional users.

 

Since some of our customers have high tech applications (for example they are producers of composite materials or they make vulcanitazion) we must both have an indepth knowledge of their needs as well as of each film’s features to be able to fit one’s each other.

 

Looks easy. As a matter of fact the process involves many steps:

• the specific knowledge of various materials/films and their characteristics;
• a steady business relationship with many film makers active in international markets;
• an in depth knowledge of the technical features of their products;
• the customer’s support in the selection of the film which best fits to his needs and his specific application;
• the selection of the best film available on the market;
• the purchase of the selected film at market conditions;
• the convertion into the requested product with preset quality standards;
• the supply to our customer and the feedback from them that the selected solution is correct;
• a continous consultancy to the customer, which is usually lasting for a long time, in order to improve his use of the film, considering also the developments of his manufacturing means.

The strategic choice of beeing pure converters give us many advantages:

• we are not bound to one material, to one film or to one film maker. We don’t have to use a given film because it is produced elsewhere in our factory or because we have to fulfill purchase budgets;
• we can therefore use the best film available on the market in that moment, and if the product needs a change, change the film;
• we can buy the film at the best conditions of the moment.

 

The company converts mainly Cellofan (regenerated cellulose) and polypropylene film, and polyester and polyethylene film as complementary materials.

 

Cellofan has been the first film bought and transformed since company’s beginning, in the late 50ies.

 

Isotactic polypropylene is an Italian invention (by prof. Giulio Natta, which in 1963 was awarded with a Nobel price for chemistry for his invention). The first commercial films were developed by the Italian company Moplefan at the end of the 60 ies. At that time A. Peruzza S.r.l. was among the first converters to believe in the new film and to propose it to the market.

 

The products/markets we supply can be gathered into 3 groups:

Cellofan and traditional films:

• sheets and rolls for the packaging of flowers;
• sheets for the packaging of foods;
• packaging wools in cellofan;
• films for Christmast and Eastern special packaging;
• film for the packaging of fruits and vegetables.

Flexible packagings:

• hot needle perforated film for the packaging of fresh bread;
• flexible packaging, plain and printed for the use with automatic packaging machines: horizontal and vertical machines (HFFS and VFFS), overwrapping machines, for candies and chocolates wrapping.

Hi tech films:

• special films for the manufacturing of composite materials;
• special films for vulcanization.
