PP Speciale for Vulcanization
In 2010 a new film has been launched in the market for the industry of vulcanization.
Polipropilene Speciale per Vulcanizzazione is a film specifically designed for the manufacture of rubber sheets (flat sheets and conveyor belts).
It has a limited heat shrinkage and can thus be used immediately after the extrusion at medium temperatures. It acts as a release film and separates the different plies, in particular when they are wound in reels.
Polipropilene Speciale per Vulcanizzazione has been designed for the production of various rubber articles, in particular can be used at the exit of the extruder with heated vulcanized rubbers.
This film has good mechanical properties and a limited heat-shrinkage. The physical nature of the film permits to use it with medium temperatures.
Polipropilene Speciale per Vulcanizzazione is a single-use product used for the separation and the gathering of hot rubber articles at the end of the production line.
It has the functions to separate the various layers of vulcanized rubber and to guarantee an easy release once rubber articles are cooled.
The available nominal thickness is 35 micron, the density is 0,91 g/cm3, the nominal unit weights is 31,5 grams per square metre, the nominal yield 32 square metres per kilogram.
The film can be supplied in reels and in sheets.
In reels the film is cut in the widths ordered by the customer (10 millimetres is the minimum, 2000 millimetres is the maximum), and it is wound in a cardboard core.
Standard reels have an inner diameter of the core of 70 millimetres (76 on request), an outer diameter of 250 millimetres (bigger on request). In standard diameters the weight is approximately 0,40 kg per centimetre of reel width (one 10 millimetres wide reel weights approximately 400 grams), the length of the reel is approximately 1100 running metres.
The production process is organized to avoid joints on the film, whenever this is not possible the joint is marked with a coloured tape.
Sheets are cut in size according to the customer’s request.
The film is untreated at least on one side (the inner side), thus it releases easily from the rubber article at the end of the production process.
Each item is wrapped with a sheet of pp for dust protection and has a quality control sheet which identifies the material, the treatment, the production batch (traceability code) as well as the production phases.
Delivery times are approximately 4 working weeks from the date of the confirmation of the order.
